He pulled up his roots in Devon, moved to Glastonbury, saved his money and went travelling. Hitch hiking with his didge through nearly every state of the U.S.A. meeting hundreds of amazing people. Then a year later to India, which he was to revisit a year after his return to England creating his first album Carpet Gipsy whilst sat by the Ganges at Rishikesh.
Recently found busking around the world with Tristan O’Meara, Richard is currently living in Cornwall.
A didgeridoo nomad, who combines innumerable accepted styles of didgeridoo playing, ranging from ancient to modern. He does so in a manner that is both rare, and extraordinary. Flowing between them, combining them, and distorting them. His grooves progress like psy or goa-trance, building, undulating and breaking down. All songs are totally unique, and all of them have the capacity to be entrancing and evocative as well as downright catchy and electrifying.
