Mad Apple Circus are a unique ‘Bigband’ from the deepest darkest suburbs of Bristol with blend of horn-fuelled styles.
An infectious mix of ska/hip-hop/jazz where swing and reggae influences jump through - nothing but the good stuff. The almighty 10 piece knock out a true display of jumping musical fusion that's guaranteed to bury deep into the recesses of your subconscious. Their range of instruments spans quite a plethora from the brightest of brass and mecurial guitar through a whomping bass and itchy beats of the crash-bang-boom. With brilliance at their core and the honed ambition to scar awesomeness into your mind, they have blitzed out some super serial bad-ass tunage. With the world waiting for the MAC shaped gap to be filled, they set about creating a sound that has staged itself as ‘Bristone’ and “goes well with cloudy cider”.
Made up of former members from The Scrub, Slamboree and The Magnus Puto Band, they bring their sound to venues up and down the country and to festivals far and wide. In 2013 alone they made appearances at a series of festivals including Sunrise, Cloud Cuckoo Land, BoomTown and Brisfest. They have had the privilege of sharing the stage with Citizen Fish, The Beat, King Porter Stomp, Babyhead, Will And The People and Hot 8 Brass Band just to mention a few .
